A little late...

This post covering both Thurs & Fri is a little late, I have been having MacBook problems, which isn't great really considering I only got mine for Christmas!

Anyway, Thursday was a long day, seemed to last forever!

I started as I usually do with Porridge made with water, 40g today.

As a snack I had four clementines and a small apple.

For lunch I had this soup:


Which I got with my Organic veg box.  It was lovely and very tasty although at around 400 calories was quite calorific for a soup.

In the afternoon I had a pack of Wotsits and a Strawberry protein shake.

After work I do a 30 min spin class at the gym.

Then I picked up my Grandma from the hospital and we went sofa shopping. By the time we got back to her house around 8pm I was starving so she made me some bacon and egg! Not as  bad as it sounds... I had a small tin of chopped tomatoes, three medallions of bacon a fried egg (with Fry Light!) and a slice of bread!

On Friday for breakfast I had some Chocolate Ready Brek made with water and a cup of coffee.

For snack I then had some grapes, cherries and two packs of Wotsits. I REALLY need to cut down on my crisp intake..

Lunch was a John West Tuna mediterranean Light Lunch.

Afternoon snack was a tub of Be Good to Yourself Cottage Cheese, and then at around 5pm I had a Raisin and Cinnamon Bagel to tide me over at the gym..

Meanwhile my neck started hurting at lunch time on one side, I thought that maybe it just needed to click or something so hoped it would go away. However, after a Toan and Groan class with a lot of weights, and an hour of Pilates I can now not move it at all!

When I got home I was a bit naughty and had two Ham and Tomato sandwiches with a pack of Hula Hoops. With all of my snacking I went over my 1300 calorie target by 600 calories! oh dear!

A very exhausting day....

So today I was set with the task of finding lights for my Grandma's new house.  I needed six wall lights, two ceiling light fittings for Lounge and two for the Hallway, oh and an external light with a sensor for near the front door.

After an hour or more spent in a local lighting showroom this morning I came out only with two lampshades and an external light. It seems no where has six wall lights and two ceiling lights which match!

After much searching anyway I eventually found some this afternoon in my local Wilkinsons, and not for a bad price either!

I have included some photos of them.

Now just the ceiling lights for the hallway to sort before the electricians arrive to fit them on Friday!

My diet today has been okay.. ish. Not as many vegetables as I would like as I was in a huge rush to get to the gym.

Breakfast - 40g of porridge made with water

Morning Snack -  1 pear and 1 portion of white grapes

Lunch - Boots Shapers Tuscan Tuna sandwich & Boots SHapers Prawn Spirals

Afternoon Snacks  - Walkers Quavers and Cheese & Onion Hula Hoops

Dinner - 2 x chicken & coleslaw sandwiches!(terrible I know but i was in a huge rush to get to the gym!)

Snack - Strawberry protein snack made with skimmed milk



At the gym I did my usual Wed routine of 45 min Body Pump class which seemed harder today than usual, and I sweated a lot.. then I did my usual 45 min Yogalates. My instructor had changed the routine today so I didnt know what I was doing  but enjoyed it still.

Tomorrow I am going to definitely try and eat more protein. I might get some bagels to have with scrambled eggs on top.

Not a great day...

Well as this is my first day of blogging, I haven't actually taken any photographs of what I have eaten. This is partly due to not having a camera, and partly due to embarrassment of what I have consumed!

Breakfast - My usual 50g of porridge made with water
Morning Snack - Walkers Salt & Vinegar Squares & Walkers Prawn Cocktail Crisps
Lunch - Boots Shapers Prawn Mayo & Egg Mayo rolls & Pears in Cranberry Juice
Afternoon Snack - Boots Shapers Salt & Vinegar Sticks
Dinner - Sainsburys Be Good to Yourself Quarter Pounder Burger, Organic new potatoes, spring greens, carrots and randomly some mushy peas.
Pudding - 40g Chocolate Ready brek made with water.

Now, this looks even worse when you write it down! Although I do keep track of my diet and exercise every day on Glamourdiets.com, nobody bar me usually gets to see it!

I did snack quite a lot in the morning which I wouldn't usually do quite so much of, but I was out and about in the car and therefore couldn't exactly fix myself a protein shake mid-drive! Also, in the afternoon around 3pm I got the shakes and a bad headache which I think is due to the fruit I ate and lack of protein.. fruit sometimes has this effect on me, I think it is due to my blood sugar sky rocketing and then crashing down again.

I also didn't do any exercise today, so back to the gym tomorrow.

My First Blog Post!

Well this is my first blog post and I'm not entirely sure I know what I am doing! In my blog I plan to document my journey of hopefully losing a bit more weight, toning up and importantly staying as slim as I am now. I'm not sure if anyone will want to read any of this drivel, but it is my hope that this blog will help me to become more focused on what I eat and the exercise etc that I do, as otherwise I do tend to fall off the wagon occasionally!
